Rustic Ranger Chickens

The Rustic Ranger is a heritage breed of chicken. We get our chicks as day olds and raise them in our barn for the first 3 weeks so they can keep warm and grow their adult feathers before moving into an outdoor mobile coop, where they stay untill they are 8 weeks old.

The mobile coop is moved on a regular basis which keeps our birds clean while allowing them to forage for grasses and bugs as well as eat an organic grain mix that we provide to them on a daily basis.
